Taiko no Tatsujin 2 song list

Taiko no Tatsujin 2 arcade
The second Taiko no Tatsujin arcade machine, released on August 2001, half a year after the original. Whereas each song was limited to just one difficulty in Taiko 1, multiple difficulties were introduced for each song in Taiko 2 (although not complete yet).

The Donderful difficulty level was also introduced (this would later be known as Oni). Accessing it is the same as accessing Oni now- hit the right rim of the drum 10 times when on Muzukashii. However, there are some songs that have the exact same notes for Muzukashii and Donderful, the only difference being the clear quota (this trend continues today for some revived songs that haven't been remade, like Dragon Spirit Medley/Go Go Kicchin). Genre listings is still quite a mess- it would be two to three years before it finally gets organized the way it is now.

It's also in this version that the Whiteberry's song, Natsu Matsuri, was made eternally popular. It has been in every arcade version (and many console versions) ever since.

No. of songs      36

For Taiko 2, Kantan has difficulty stars 1 to 3, Futsuu is 1 to 5, Muzukashii is 1 to 7, and Donderful (Oni) is 1 to 10.
