Namco Taiko Blog (19 June 2014) - Taiko no Tatsujin Kimidori Version

Previously revealed in occasion of the Finals even for last year's Taiko arcade tournament, Taiko no Tatsujin Kimidori Version, the next main firmware build after Momoiro, will be available in the next month. But as usual, not every feature from Momoiro Version will be available into the newest update.

Today's blog entry acts as a mini sum-up on this particular topic.

First of all, friends and tournament requests on Momoiro will be halted from June 22nd, in order to make the proper preparations for the same features under the Kimidori Version arcades. In addition to this, Momoiro Version's Dojo Ranking won't be available to play anymore in early July, so try to climb the ranks as fast as you can before it's gone: another future unlockable title will be made for the Momoiro Dojo Ranking players!

On the songlist department, the only song that won't be playable from Kimidori Version's Day 1 is the Overture (from Dragon Quest X). Plus, the related title and costumes won't be available anymor neither for those who have already unlocked them! If either the 'A Slime Appeared!' (スライムがあらわれた!) or the 'Dragon Quest' (ドラゴンクエスト) outfit are used by players for their avatar customization, those will be automatically deleted with the new firmware's debut.

Last but not least, the Don Points counter will reset in favor of a new set of unlocks. Shopping Points, on the other hand, will be retained across the update. If you are saving up for something big like EkiBEN 2000, you can continue your quest after the update while scoring sweet Kimidori-exclusive rewards by Don Points!

And that's it, for today. See you next week with Taiko 3DS 2's release!
