Behind the Drums: Tomoki Matsumoto

One of the 2nd Taiko generation's most prominent notecharters, Tomoki Matsumoto (松本 智貴; often quoted as マツモト) on his active can count over 90 songs charted, as well as many key role in console Taiko entries directions. When it comes to creating notecharts, he's a very methodical figure familiar to multiple do-overs, as after finishing a chart he's used to verify if it goes harmonically with the base song, fixing any unconfortable parts and starting the checking process all over, until he isn't satisfied with the final work.

Matsumoto has been the director of all the Taiko games for Wii since the 2nd (except for Chogouka-Ban, where he was the producer), with another directing role coming for Taiko V Version. During said game's life-span, he began to publicly pop up as the self-titled 'Dark Attribute' (闇属性) TOMOKI', popping up on Taiko no Tatsujin V Version's Twitter account for informations/DLC teasers and even appearing in some of the Taiko Team's livestream sessions!
